A mixture of free-flowing seeds specifically designed for use in tubular feeders. The mix has a high specification blend of seeds rich in fat and oil which can be rapidly converted into much needed energy levels.
There is also a combination of 12 naturally found wild seeds to entice the British Finch family of birds into the garden, plus nigerseed, which is a special favourite of the colourful Goldfinch. Straight Foods for Wildlife:
Peanuts
High in fat and protein, peanuts are a fast track source of energy and calories. Our peanuts are bought well within permitted EEC safety standards, and are certified free from harmful levels of aflatoxins.
Sunflower Hearts
These are sunflower seeds without the husk, giving a minimum of waste, but also a very high energy value. Because the hearts are processed to human consumption standard, they are one of the safest and best quality foods for birds.
Black Sunflower
Higher in oil, and more easily shelled than other sunflowers. A great, cost effective energy source, which is popular with birds feeding from tube feeders.
Nigerseed
An oil rich seed with tonic properties, appreciated by the Goldfinch in particular.
